Lenten Series – “Christian Mediation, an Open Doorway”

LENTEN SERIES – “Christian Meditation, an Open Doorway”   The ancient Christian tradition of meditation is often associated with eastern religions and is sometimes neglected in Protestant churches. This series of five weeks will cover different forms of Christian meditation and will include such topics as guided meditation, Lectio Divina, centering prayer and prayer in everyday life. We will discuss the various forms, experience them as a group and have an opportunity for discussion. The sessions will be led by Linda Bausserman and will be held on Tuesday evenings beginning February 28 through March 28 from 7:00-8:30 at the First Baptist Church in America. The size of the group will be limited to 12 because larger groups make open discussions more difficult and for the practical reason that we only have parking for 12 cars!
